I founded FitnessLink.com, an online fitness information magazine, in 1995 and served as writer, editor, publisher, and web designer. With my writing and web design talent and my husband's marketing genius, the site grew to become one of the most popular fitness sites on the web. In August 2000, we sold FitnessLink to a web content portal and continued to work for them until that company’s demise in June 2001. I co-authored The Complete Idiot's Guide to Online Health and Fitness (Macmillan, 1999), was a columnist for Physical Magazine, and contributed numerous feature articles in newspapers and fitness magazines. I also designed and maintained several web sites that I continue to work with today. I took a couple years off from freelancing to focus on my family, and lately my urge to write and design has been assuaged by blogging. My personal blog is PHAT Mommy, and my professional site is AppOrchard (in beta), a resource site that reviews, and explains in plain english, the many Web 2.0 and social media apps (Twitter, Clipmarks, Del.icio.us, etc) that can make your online experience richer and more productive. My personal interests include blogging, social networking, scrapbooking and skiing. A modern, secular homeschooling parent, I live in New Jersey with my husband and two children. Resume:
